both courses at Angel Park, the Par-71; 6722 yard, Mountain Course
and the Par 70; 6,530 yard, Palm Course. The two-course complex
has been billed as the most complete golf experience.
11 Badlands Golf Club - 9119 Alta
Drive / 800-468-7918 Designed by Johnny Miller and Chi Chi
Rodriguez, the Badlands has 27 holes of challenging play. Pick your
choice of an 18 from their 9-hole trio - Diablo, Desperato and the
Outlaw.
19 Bali Hai Golf Club - 5160
S. Las Vegas Boulevard / 702-450-8000 Like its name sake,
the white sands, blue water and tropical plantings on this course
takes you to another place somewhere in the South Seas. The par-72
layout is deceptive with a soothing ambience yet filled with challenging
play.
29 Black Mountain Golf and Country Club
- 500 Greenway Road / Henderson NV / 702-565-793This championship
course has recently hosted U.S. Open qualifying and is a one of
the areas favorite places to play since it's opening in 1957.
33 Boulder City Golf Course -
1 Clubhouse Drive / Boulder City NV / 702-293-9236 Designed
in the early 70s by Billy Casper and David Rainville, the course
is a traditional layout with lots of trees and large sloped greens.
4 Casa Blanca Golf Club - 950
W. Mesquite Boulevard / Mesquite NV / 888-711-4653 Cal Olsen
designed a course with a great visual mix of desert and wetland
features along the Virgin River that hugs the landscape. The par-72,
7011 yard layout is located 70+ miles north of Las Vegas, but is
well worth the drive.
18 Desert Inn Golf Club - 3145
S. Las Vegas Boulevard / Closed Looking for the Desert Inn Golf
Club? This Las Vegas legend closed at the end of 2001! Over 50 professional
tournaments were played at the Desert Inn since its opening
in 1952, Tiger Woods had his first PGA Tour win here in 1996!
14 Desert Pines Golf Club - 3415
E Bonanza Road / 702-450-8000 Dye Designs International created
this 6810 yard, Par-71 in 1996, the course has a decidedly Carolina
feel with its pine trees, water hazards and white sand bunkers.
24 Desert Willow Golf Club -

702-263-4653 If you are looking for an challenging executive
length game, this is the course for you. The hilly terrain and built
in hazards will test your wit and skill, even though it s
a short 3,811 yard, par-60.
26 Dragons Ridge Golf Club

702-614-4444 A fairly recent addition to the Las Vegas golf
scene, the par-72 Dragons Ridge opened in 2000. Designed by
Jay Morrish and David Druzisky, the course has some of the most
amazing golf views. Dramatic eleNVtion changes and tightly manicured
fairways are hallmarks of this mountainside course.
32 Emerald River Golf Course

Ranked as one of the most challenging courses in the state of Nevada
by the USGA, Emerald River boasts of numerous eleNVtion changes
and has four holes bordering the Colorado River.
13 Las Vegas Golf Club - 4300 W
Washington Avenue / 702-646-3003
Known as the locals course, Las Vegas Golf Club hosts
the annual city amateur tournament. Designed by Casey OCallagahn
back in 1945, the mature trees shadow the fairways with welcoming
shade. New course upgrades and a new clubhouse have been recently
completed.
17 Las Vegas National Golf Club
- 1911 E Desert Inn Road / 800-468-7918 This par-71, 6815
yard course was designed in 1961 by Burt Stamps and is adorned with
lots of trees and many bunkers. By the way, Tiger Woods has also
had a PGA win on this one!
1 Las Vegas Paiute Resort -10325
Nu-Wav Kaiv Boulevard / 702-658-1400 Pete Dye has made his
mark in Nevada with these sister courses, Snow Mountain and Sun
Mountain. Both par-72 courses are built in a golf resort located
on the Paiute Indian reservation. With spectacular views and challenging
terrain, each course has garnered a 4 1/2 star rating from Golf
Digest. Look for another Pete Dye addition to be added to the resort
in the near future.
27 The Legacy Golf Club -130
Par Excellence Drive / Henderson NV / 702-897-2187 Long and
hilly, Arthur Hills designed a desert masterpiece that flows into
the landscape. The par-72, 7233 yard course is ranked as one of
the best in the state.
31 Mojave Resort Golf Club - 9905
Aha Macav Parkway / Laughlin NV / 702-535-4653
Considered one of the best daily fee courses in the area, Mojave
is a championship layout with sand dunes and native vegetation surrounding
wide fairways.
5 The Oasis Golf Club - 851 Oasis
Boulevard / Mesquite NV / 800-621-0187
Arnold Palmer, designed the par-72 Oasis course to take advantage
of the surrounding natural landscape and is ranked in the top 10
of the 100 Places You Can Play by Golf Magazine. The
Palmer team designed the accompanying Vistas Nine, a par-37 course.
2 Painted Desert Golf Club -
5555 Painted Mirage Way / 800-468-7918 Experience the awesome
beauty of the true desert in this layout designed by Jay Morrish
in 1989, the par-72, 6840 yard course features many doglegs and
bunkers.
6 The Palms Golf Club - 1137 Mesquite Boulevard /
Mesquite, NV 89024 / 800-621-0187 More than 200 palm trees
line this challenging course designed by William Hull. The front
nine features long fairways and water features, the back nine is
more undulating and mountain-like with NVriable grades between the
tee and greens.
22 Primm Valley Golf Club - #1

Two courses at the club include the The Lakes, a par-71 layout and
The Desert, a par-72 layout, both were designed by Tom Fazio and
have been named in the 100 Places You Can Play by Golf
Magazine.
30 Reflection Bay Golf Club - 75
Monte Lago Boulevard / Henderson NV / 702-740-4653 Designed
by Jack Nicklaus, the par-72 course winds through canyons and arroyos
with great views of the mountains. Five holes are situated along
the lake and several others have challenging water features.
25 Revere at Anthem Golf Club
- 2600 Evergreen Oaks Drive / Henderson NV / 702-259-4653
Built in a desert canyon just minutes from the Vegas Strip, this
challenging par-72 was designed by Billy Casper and Greg Nash. Look
for a new course addition at Anthem - the Concord, scheduled to
open in 2002.
20 Rhodes Ranch Golf Club - 9020
Rhodes Ranch Parkway / 702-311-8337 Carved out of the desert,
yet with the feel of the tropics because of its profuse plantings,
Rhodes Ranch was designed by Ted Robinson. This recent 1997 addition
provides a challenge for all levels of play.
23 Rio Secco Golf Club - 2851
Grand Hills Drive / Henderson NV / 702-889-2400 Designed
by Rees Jones for the guests of the Rio Ricco Casino Resort, the
par-72 course offers panoramic views of Las Vegas Valley and the
mountain landscapes.
16 Royal Links - 5995 E Vegas
Valley Boulevard / 702-450-8000 Inspired by the best courses
in the UK, each hole is in this 18-hole links-style course modeled
after a legendary counterpart from across the pond with bows to
St. Andrews, Royal Lytham and Royal Troon.
8 Shadow Creek Golf Club -3 Shadow Creek Drive / North
Las Vegas, NV / 702-399-7111 One of the top courses in the
country and the best in Nevada, Tom Fazio designed this private
course in 1990 and its been named in the top 20 national ranking
by Golf Digest. If you can swing a tee-time, expect to pay big time!
10 Siena Golf Club -10575 Siena
Monte Avenue / 702-341-9200 Plan your game well, this 18-hole,
par-72 is rich in bunkers and has just enough water hazards to make
game strategy very interesting.
3 Silver Stone Golf Club - 8317
Mount GeneNV Court / 702-562-3770 Robert Cupp designed one
of the newest offerings around, it is a new semi-private club that
afford 27 holes of challenging golf that adjoins Floyd Lamb State
Park.
15 Stallion Mountain Country Club
- 5500 E Flamingo Road / 702-450-8000 Stallion Mountain has
three amazing 18-hole courses named for the best in horse racing
- Citation, Man O War and Secretariat. The club is a private
facility with an agreement to offer tee-times to preferred hotels
and is conveniently located only 15 minutes from The Strip.
9 TPC at The Canyons - 9851 Canyon
Run Drive / 702-256-2000 This PGA Tournament facility is
a challenging par-71, 7063 yard course designed by the PGA Tour
Design Services, Bobby Weed - architect with Raymond Floyd, player
consultant. The course is the host for the annual Senior PGA Tours
Las Vegas Classic.
28 Wildhorse Club - 2100 W Warm
Springs Road / Henderson, NV / 800-468-7918 Formerly known
as the Paradise Valley Country Club on the PGA Tour, Wildhorse is
a-72 par, 7053 yard course is known for its finishing hole,
surrounded by four lakes and several bunkers.
21 Willow Creek Golf Course - 1500 Red Butte / Pahrump,
NV / 775-727-4653 One of the most affordable courses in the
area, Willow Creek is less than an hour south of the Strip. Designed
in the late 70s by William Bell, the layout is surrounded by two
mountain ranges and has several challenging water hazards.
7 Wolf Creek at Paradise Canyon
- 401 Paradise Parkway / Mesquite NV / 866-252-4653 One of
the newest courses in the golf resort town of Mesquite, Wolf Creek
opened in the fall of 2000 and was designed and developed by Dennis
and Jon Rider. The word is - the views are worth the trip and the
layout is quite challenging for every level of player.
