The Strip alone has enough attractions to keep any visitors busy during their entire stay, but for others the need to be a part of action, attractions ranges far and wide. Las Vegas, NV in recent years has garnered the title as the “Adult Disneyland”, which it has been cultivated with much success. Not only are there attractions up and down The Strip to keep visitors busy, but the surrounding area has some awesome adventures and unique attractions for those who dare to push the envelope!

Air Force Thunderbirds at Nellis Air Force Base / 4445 Tyndall Avenue / Nellis Air Force Base Visitor Center / 702- 652-4018 When not on alert, the Air Force offers one hour tours to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2 pm (arrive at the gate by 1:45 pm, drivers license and proof of insurance or car rental agreement are required). Included are a guided museum tour, includes a guided museum tour, video presentation, hanger tour and a close-up view of a Thunderbird F-16s. Home based in Las Vegas since 1956, the Thunderbirds train here from mid-November to mid-March.

Or just imagine the Turbo Drop - a 45 mph drop from a 180 foot tower, need we say more?

Desert Princess - Lake Shore Drive (Hwy166) / Boulder City area / $ Located at Lake Mead Cruises Landing, the Desert Princess, an authorized concessionaire of the National Park Service is a 300 passenger paddle wheeler. The boat sails year-round, gently skimming the waters of Make Mead. Enjoy the views from the climate controlled interior or get out on deck and let the wind blow through your hair. Breakfast, lunch, early dinner, dinner-dance and excursion cruises are available.

From classic pinball to early video games to amazing auto racers, bobsled flyers and air-fighter simulators, the place will thrill and chill, like the awesome 75 foot rock climb, a personal test of strength and fortitude.

This could be your chance to experience the thrill of a Winston Cup-type qualifying run around a track. Besides the observation Deck at the 869 foot level, you may want to try the world’s highest roller coaster, the High Roller! Would you like to shoot to the top of the tower and then free-fall from above 100 stories in the air?
